H&I Construction’s Malmesbury site office faced a double challenge: no existing connection to Eskom’s power grid and the ongoing disruptions of loadshedding. Installing a new grid supply would have come at significant cost for this client, but would not rule out the unreliability of Eskom power. To maintain productivity and avoid delays, they needed a reliable, independent power solution that could integrate well with their operations. We delivered a renewable energy system with smart automation and generator backup. The system runs on it’s own, with the generator kicking in only when battery levels are low and and there’s not enough sunlight. This keeps the power on and helps them avoid delays.

To meet their needs, we installed a 50kW Deye inverter along with WeCo lithium batteries, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during outages. This system was carefully designed to handle the site’s energy demands efficiently, reducing downtime and keeping operations moving forward.
